Crafting for Culinary Excellence — Amisfield’s Private Tasting Room Table
At Tréology, we create furniture that shapes experiences — connecting craftsmanship, place, and story.
We were honoured to craft a bespoke table for the Private Tasting Room at Amisfield Restaurant, recently awarded 3rd Best Restaurant in the World by Food & Wine magazine.
A collaboration with designer Ella Darby and Amisfield Winery, the table was meticulously crafted from Tanekaha wood, paired with a custom organic bronze base. Designed for elegance and versatility, the 4500mm table can transform into multiple configurations: a 1500mm round table for intimate gatherings, two 1500mm x 750mm serving tables for larger functions, or expanded to form a round table seating up to 14 guests.
Every detail was designed to support Amisfield’s immersive dining philosophy — showcasing New Zealand’s seasonal, hyperlocal ingredients through a refined and “otherworldly” experience, as praised by Food & Wine.
At Tréology, our design team work closely with clients to craft tailored, innovative solutions that honour both functional needs and the beauty of natural materials.
Congratulations to Executive Chef Vaughan Mabee and the entire Amisfield team — it is a privilege to have contributed to such a globally celebrated destination.
“Amisfield holds a special place among the world’s best restaurants, executing fine dining that feels effortless and fun, despite the painstaking measures that must go into developing the creative, sustainable tasting menu. Mabee only works with fisherpeople who practice zero waste, and brings refreshing humor to a seriously impressive meal.”
