Crown Range Retreat

The Crown Range Retreat celebrates nature by the use of raw materials to compliment the harsh alpine Queenstown landscape. Designed by Assembly Architects Limited this beautiful home won a Te Kahui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects Southern Award 2022 in the Housing Category.

Materials flow seamlessly from interior to exterior, creating a restrained, concise, and masterfully executed architectural form.

Working with Nikki Wilson Design, Tréology crafted Emerge side tables and a bench coffee table. The Emerge is a sculptural modern organic side table turned from a solid block of macrocarpa (Monterey Cypress). The solid bench coffee table features butterfly joiners to celebrate the wabi sabi aesthetic - acknowledging that nature is imperfect . This sustainable wood is finished with a hand rubbed, low V.O.C., natural plant oil to bring the gorgeous grain to life.
