MiNDFOOD June 2022 - Community | Sustainability - Tréology Save the Trees

Rescued wood is being crafted into beautiful tables, stools and more.
— Aimee McHugh

Tréology rescues these trees - Totara, Rimu, Matai and Kauri from the rivers, fiords and swamps of Aotearoa (New Zealand), and crafts them into beautiful objects that merge the line between luxury furniture and functional art. Its collection includes finely crafted consoles, dining tables, side tables, award-winning chairs, stools and credenzas, as well as bespoke commissions.

When a tree is recovered from the river, its GPS location is recorded.
